Nancy Bartosek
is an award-winning writer and editor who earned a communications degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1996. After a one-year stint as the higher-education writer at the Arlington Star-Telegram, she joined the magazine as assistant editor in 1997, then was named editor in 2001. Nancy has written stories from Wyoming, Belize and Romania. She has served as co-chair and faculty member for several CASE conferences. Her passions include traveling and gardening in her cozy backyard in Fort Worth, where she lives with husband Dennis Strini.

Rick Waters is a 1995 news-editorial journalism graduate of TCU. After a writing and copy editing career at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Corpus Christi Caller-Times and Lubbock Avalanche-Journal (and a brief side venture at Fort Worth architecture firm Carter & Burgess), he joined the magazine in 2001 as assistant editor. His interests include TCU athletics, politics, reading and following current events. He lives in Fort Worth with wife Cris, a 1997 ballet and English grad, and son Ethan, 3.

Tracy Sterling Bristol is a 1980 advertising communications graduate of TCU, whose background includes advertising, teaching and graphic design. She joined the magazine in 2001 as Art Director and loves musical theater, horses and anything her kids are involved in. She lives with her husband David and children Kate, 18, and Jack, 15, in Colleyville.

Kathryn Hopper is a 1986 English and journalism graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, who also earned a master’s degree in liberal studies from Duke University. Her journalism career includes stints at The Raleigh News & Observer, Greensboro News & Record and Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where she covered sports business. She joined the magazine in 2008 and lives in Southlake with her husband, Stuart, and sons James, 15, Henry, 12, Will, 10, and Andrew, 5.

Class Notes/Notables Editor: Jessie Milligan; 817-257-6037
is a 1979 journalism graduate of Western Washington University. She studied creative writing at University College, Dublin, Ireland and she is pursuing her master’s degree in library and information science at the University of North Texas, Denton. Her journalism career included reporting for newspapers in Washington state, New Mexico and Texas, including her most recent stint as a feature writer at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. She lives in Fort Worth with her West Highland White Terrier, Andy.
